English Premier League side, Arsenal are favourites to land Serbian and Juventus striker Disan Vlahovic according to rumors. With the January transfer window edging closer, teams are getting linked to different kinds of names.
Mikel Arteta’s side has been heavily linked to Brentford striker Ivan Toney. Reports have it that the 27 year old could cost between 60-0 million pounds. Now other reports have it that the Gunners could instead go in for Vlahovic.
The 23 year old was linked to the Gunners about 2 years ago but instead chose Juventus while still at Fiorentina. His time at the Old Lady however hasn’t been successful.
Therefore, sources have it that he would welcome a move to England. However, it is said that the Italian giants value him at about 50m pounds.
Arsenal however would have to fend off competition from Spanish giants, Real Madrid. The Serbian has also attracted interest from Arsenal’s London rivals, Chelsea.
“Arsenal were linked to Vlahovic in the summer, and last January, having missed out on the chance to sign him when he opted to join Juventus almost two years ago.
“But it appears Mikel Arteta and Edu are set to make another move for the 23-year-old, according to TuttoJuve.”
“Vlahovic has been out of sorts since joining Juventus, although he does have four goals in 10 appearances this season.
“That means the Serie A giants could be open to selling – if the price is right.
“Juventus are understood to want around £50 million for Vlahovic, who has also attracted interest from Chelsea and Real Madrid.”
The Gunners currently have only Gabriel Jesus and Eddie Nketiah as their centre forwards. However, the Brazilian has been inconsistent with injuries. Nketiah on the other hand can’t be relied on to lead the line for the Gunners week in week out.
