Thomas Partey To Miss AFCON As He Remains With Arsenal. Arsenal’s Ghanaian midfielder Thomas Partey won’t be part of Ghana’s Africa Cup of Nations squad as he was left out.
The 30 year old was left out of the Black Stars’final squad for the tournament. Apparently, Partey is just recovering from an injury that has kept him sidelined for several months.
The former Atletico Madrid footballer last appeared for Arsenal in October in the 1-0 win against Manchester City at the Emirates stadium. With the Gunners performance dropping, his fitness will be crucial for them.
Currently, Arsenal have dropped to the fourth position five points adrift of the top place occupied by Liverpool. Mikel Arteta’s side has failed to win in their last three league games.
The players performances have dropped and they seem to lack an ingredient to drag them over the line. Luckily for Arteta, his injury list is reducing as most of his players are coming back to full fitness.
