Goalkeeper Derrick Ochan decides to leave KCCA FC

Derrick Ochan, the goalkeeper for KCCA FC, has decided not to continue with the team after his contract expires later this month.
Ochan signed a three-year contract with the Lugogo-based team in 2021 as a free agent, during the tenure of Morley Byekwaso.

This publication is aware that at the end of this month, Ochan would go from the 13-time Ugandan champions.

The agreement to replace Ochan with Vipers SC goalkeeper Fabien Mutombora is reportedly nearing completion, according to KCCA FC.

As for the KCCA starting goalie, Anthony Emojong, he is probably going to be sidelined for some time because of an injury he sustained late in the last campaign.

Derrick Ochan has played for Vipers SC and Police FC in addition to KCCA FC. Prior to joining the senior team, where he played for four years, he played for the Vipers Junior Team and is a graduate of the FUFA Juniors League.

In addition, Ochan is the goalie for Acholi Province, which won the 2019 FUFA Drum championship after defeating Bukedi 5-3 in a penalty shootout. Ochan was Acholi’s hero in the shootout, making the crucial stop that secured Acholi’s first-ever FUFA Drum title.
