The Star Times UPL Returns

As the Star Times Uganda Premier League (UPL) begins play in 2024–2025, football supporters throughout Uganda are getting ready for the much anticipated return of elite football. With sixteen premier teams vying for the coveted league championship, the upcoming season promises to provide thrilling football action.
A matchup between two of Uganda’s top football teams, KCCA FC and URA FC, will open the season.

Kickoff is set for 7:00 PM at KCCA’s home field, where the match will take place. Fans of football can watch all the action live on Sanyuka Prime across all StarTimes platforms, including the live TV smartphone app StarTimes ON.

The StarTimes UPL has maintained its prominence and is drawing interest from both domestic and foreign audiences. The competition this season will include a mix of well-known teams and smaller teams, such as Mbale Heroes and Lugazi FC, in addition to Kitara FC, the dominant team in the Bunyoro Kingdom. Top-notch stadiums, such as Nakivubo, Namboole, and Kitara’s new home ground, will also be present, ensuring exciting games and fierce rivalries.

Fans may anticipate a demonstration of extraordinary football skill, tactical cunning, and fervent support from around the nation as the 2024–2025 season progresses.
