Vipers silence doubters with a comfortable win over Express

Under Kitende’s floodlights on Thursday, Vipers SC defeated Express FC 3-0 in a polished display.
After losing their first game 3-1 to NEC FC, Vipers’ home victory prevented them from losing their next two games in the Uganda Premier League.

Under Serbian strategist Nikola Kavazovic, the Venoms won their debut league game thanks to a brace from Milton Karisa and a goal from Fumador Awisome.

Express FC lost for the first time this season after defeating Mbale Heroes 2-1 to start the season.

In the 21st minute, Karisa gave the home team the lead, and in the 75th minute, he finished with a brace.

After being feed by man of the match Karisa, second half substitute Awisome clinched the victory for the Venoms with six minutes remaining in normal time.

The Vipers will play Lugazi FC on Thursday of next week.
